In March 1850, the Borough of Media was officially incorporated by a Special Act of Assembly. This collection is a portrait of the borough as it exists in 2025. To that end, we’re collecting photographs of every building in the borough.
Architecture is interesting, it's part of what makes Media such a distinctive place. Photos that show family members, business owners, organization staffs, volunteers and members, clergy and congregations are also included to provide a fuller portrait of Media in 2025.

Over the years, this building has welcomed many tenants, from Vision Care of Media to the Media Theatre Studio. Beyond that, information on earlier occupants is limited, but we are proud to continue its legacy as a place where community and craftsmanship come together.

This is a photo of Christ Episcopal Church. A charter incorporating the Parish was obtained from the County Court in 1854. The cornerstone was laid in 1858, and the church was consecrated in 1860. The church has functioned as a house of worship continuously ever since. We celebrated our 170th anniversary in November of 2024 with a rededication of the church.
