The building later became the home of the Media Upper Providence Free Library. It was demolished in 2016, and a new library built on the site. Centennial Book 51.
Williamson was a board member from the library's founding in 1901 until his death on August 21, 1955, at the age of 94, according to his August 22, 1955 obituary in the Chester Times.

According to an article in the Chester Times, April 23, 1968, a talk by Mrs. Angeli was "climaxing [a] week of events celebrating the official opening of the library's new wing and Library Week."
The former Media Free Library, at Jasper and Jackson streets, was then behind used as a temporary home for the borough government office. View is looking southeast from west side of Jackson Street.
Photographed on the State St side of the old Borough Hall, which housed the fire company on the first floor. A memorial portrait for William McKinley, recently assassinated, hangs in the doorway of the Media Free Library, which had space upstairs. Black memorial bunting is also draped on the semicircular porticos.
