Frank Lees refers to this as a tea room. It was located on Front St. opposite the Delaware County Court House. Copy of original photo; source not noted
Frank Lees caption on reverse: "Also the residence of Harry Garner. Date unknown. Was once an inn and stage coach stop. Very old. Aunt Lizzie Hanley on porch."
Photograph, probably by E. V. Streeper, of the hardware store that occupied the Media Ledger building for more than 75 years. The store closed sometime between 2004 and 2008.
This series of photos was most likely taken as part of the legal case involving Mr. Harp, as noted in the Chester Times of May 13,1903: "The jury of view in the case of L. L. Harp vs. the borough of Glenolden to recover damages for the change of grade of sidewalks on Chester Pike west of Ashland Avenue, will meet on the premises of the prosecutor on Friday afternoon to fix damages."
