Oral History Project

The Media Historic Archives Commission is seeking volunteers interested in sharing their stories through an oral history project dedicated to preserving the heritage of Media — “Everybody’s Hometown.”

We are looking to record interviews with longtime residents, community members, and families whose experiences have helped shape the character of Media. Through these conversations, we hope to preserve memories of neighborhoods, schools, local traditions, work, community life, and the changes that have shaped the borough over the years.

Interviews are informal, conversational, and typically last about an hour. There are no right or wrong answers — we simply want to hear your story in your own words.

Every resident’s experience is part of Media’s history. By participating, you can help ensure these stories are preserved for future generations.

If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about the project, please contact the Media Historic Archives Commission.
